Fondazione UNA and Federparchi: joining forces against poaching

A shared commitment with #biodiversityinflight
The partnership between Federparchi and Fondazione UNA goes beyond a single project — it is grounded in a shared institutional commitment, reflected in the fact that both organisations are members of the IUCN, the World Conservation Union. Federparchi has been a member since its founding, while Fondazione UNA participates by championing biodiversity protection, ethical and sustainable hunting, and the fight against poaching.
Shining a light on protected species and sustainability
The #biodiversityinflight collaboration between Federparchi and Fondazione UNA began at the Gran Paradiso National Park and has since expanded across the entire Italian peninsula, taking in the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park and the Maremma Regional Park. The project’s goal is to shine a spotlight on the work both organisations carry out to protect and safeguard endangered species.
Hunters are too often seen through a lens of prejudice. The Partnership also aims to show how hunting — far from being at odds with nature — can play not just a useful, but a necessary role in environmental sustainability, ecosystem balance, and the preservation of biodiversity.
